Stoke Chasers

8 Minutes, 2020

Director: Jo Anna Edmison

Producers: SLOMotion/Hayley Nenadal, Respect the Funk/Nathan Doherty

Editor: Ian McMullen

Many young girls are subtly taught to observe rather than engage, perpetuating the belief that they are fragile and weak. "Stoke Chasers" challenges this perception, urging women to defy the notion of passive observation and to sever the link between femininity and fragility. Breaking through the unspoken barriers of the male-dominated surf and skate world, the film celebrates women as integral members of a distinct yet interconnected community.
