SLO Motion is a new film organization in San Luis Obispo, CA, dedicated to building community through engaging experiences and films.  Valuing environmental activism, adventure, and community, SLO Motion sees film as the medium that anchors them all together.

As our name suggests, we value ‘slow motion.’ Which is why we are taking our time, doing things the right way, to build an exciting film collective in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Join us on August 3rd, 2019, for our second event, as we sponsor Tribes on the Edge – an independent documentary by CauseCentric Productions, directed and produced by Céline Cousteau. Exploring the timely topics of land threats, health crises, and human rights issues of the Indigenous Peoples of the Vale do Javari, Brazilian Amazon, Tribes on the Edge expands the view to how this is relevant to our own lives. More than a narrative of reality in the Amazon, Tribes on the Edge suggests the universal story of our human tribe and how our future is interwoven with each other and with nature. This is a story that invokes the critical importance of respect and care – for land, culture, and humanity. Our survival may depend on it. And we are thrilled to bring director and producer Céline Cousteau to San Luis Obispo.
